HOME

I stumbled on this photograph / it kind of made me laugh /
It took me way back / back down memory lane ...

... now if you started singing, you my girl for real.

With photographs and videos being the basis of every social media site, its become increasingly easy to compare our lives to our friends, family and strangers.

I'm sure we've all seen a photo or reel of a family and/or couple and thought "I want that". But we have to be careful with that or it could have us overlooking life's little luxuries because were used to seeing these grand gestures as the "normal" way to express love. Now don't get me wrong, I like the bags and jewelry too but I never want to forget how good it feels to be on the receiving end of things that have little to no monetary value but are invaluable to my well being.

This holiday season, I'm thankful for these 10 things in my home:

  1. Genuinely asking about each others day
  2. Asking me to drop my location if out I'm late by myself or traveling a far distance by myself
  3. Asking what I want to eat
  4. Allowing me grace to make mistakes
  5. Giving me space to work on personal endeavors
  6. Clear boundaries of how to treat one anothher
  7. Hugs and kisses just because
  8. Bringing me the remote control as I lay on the couch
  9. Random YouTube living room concerts
  10. Everyone physically, mentally, emotionally stable

These are thee 10 things I'm most thankful for and the best part is I get to call this home.

So whats a home with no love? A house!
